Privacy Policy

FunnelsGenius is operated by Pedro Moreira and Ana Dias in Portugal ("FunnelsGenius", "we"). We are the controllers of the personal data described here. Contact us at hello@funnelsgenius.com.

Data we process

• Account data: name, email address, authentication identifiers, account and terms-acceptance timestamps.
• Learning data: resources claimed, course progress, and related timestamps.
• Library activity: resource landing views, opens, downloads, and video-page visits associated with your account where applicable.
• Approximate location and device data: country, region, city, postal area, timezone, approximate city-level coordinates, network operator, browser user agent, and coarse device category supplied with requests by our hosting provider. We do not store your IP address in the CRM event log.
• Marketing choices: whether, when, and through which form you asked to receive optional emails, plus unsubscribe status and email engagement where enabled.
• Security and technical data: IP address and request information used temporarily for rate limiting, fraud prevention, security logs, and service delivery.
• Usage statistics: aggregated traffic measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not place analytics cookies or create cross-site profiles.

Why we use it and our legal bases

• To operate your account, library, downloads, and course progress: performance of our contract with you.
• To secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service: our legitimate interests in operating a reliable and secure platform, balanced against your rights.
• To send optional lessons and marketing updates and measure those emails: your consent. Account access is not conditional on marketing consent.
• To keep legally required records or respond to lawful requests: compliance with legal obligations.

Providers and international transfers

We use processors only to provide the service:

• Supabase: authentication and database hosting.
• Cloudflare: website hosting, security, analytics, and EU-restricted file storage.
• Bunny.net: protected video delivery.
• Bento: optional email delivery and engagement, only when you consent to marketing.

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary safeguards. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

How long we keep data

• Account and learning data: while your account is active, then deleted or anonymised when you delete it, except where law requires limited retention.
• Account-linked library activity and approximate location/device data: while your account is active, and deleted with the account. Anonymous landing events are retained only as long as needed for service analytics.
• Marketing records: until you withdraw consent, plus a minimal suppression record where needed to honour your opt-out and evidence compliance.
• Security and rate-limit records: only for the short period needed to detect abuse and protect the service.
• Backups and provider logs: removed on each provider's normal secure deletion cycle, subject to legal and security requirements.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Use an email unsubscribe link or contact us. You can update or delete your membership through account settings. We may need to verify your identity and normally respond within one month.

You may complain to Portugal's supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

Automated decisions and children

We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means. The service is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child supplied data, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
